The real estate industry is booming. With more than 3 million employees, it is one of the largest economic sectors in Germany and appeals with secure career opportunities. Of course, there are buildings everywhere and there always will be. They must be managed, marketed, sold and maintained. If you want to work in real estate management there are a range of different career paths you can follow: as an estate agent, investment advisor or project developer, with non-profit housing associations or banks. What they all have in common is that they are diverse – just like real estate itself.

The DHBW Mannheim offers prospective real estate managers a practical direct entry route into this exciting sector with the career-integrated Business Administration degree in Real Estate Management, supplemented by theoretical specialist knowledge. It consists of 2 essential components: basic knowledge of business administration and specialist knowledge of the real estate industry. Fundamentals such as real estate law or marketing are taught alongside current business trends. For example, digitisation plays a major role in the real estate industry, from online search portals and the Internet of Things to cloud computing or e-payment systems.
Recognising your own potential and using it successfully
A special feature of studying at the DHBW Mannheim is that students specialise from the 2nd year of study onwards. They can choose between real estate marketing and portfolio management. And for those who want to gain experience abroad, the course offers international projects at our partner universities in Brazil and China – so students can get a great start in a globalised real estate world.
