A career-integrated business administration course on digital transformation
Digitisation – the buzzword of the 21st century. In everyday life it is a matter of course, in business it ensures movement: workflows run digitally, in industry 4.0 digitally controlled machines are increasingly taking over tasks. Processes and systems require constant optimisation at ever faster speeds. In order to master new challenges and opportunities profitably, knowledge of business administration and aspects of digitisation must be combined in all industries.
Designing digital business models
The DHBW Mannheim responds to the demands of the labour market with the specialist Digital Business Management course. Our graduates work at the point of crossover between business administration and IT. They plan and implement digitisation processes and develop new products and services. For example, they might work on digital marketing strategies via social media, recruit personnel on online platforms or design new digital financial products based on innovative technologies such as Big Data Analytics. In all our activities, we focus on thinking and acting in a way that is effective for business administration.
Scoring in business: with knowledge from business administration, IT and the digital economy
The core of this career-integrated degree course is business administration. It is complemented by fundamental knowledge from the fields of IT and the digital economy. These include modules such as "Business Analytics" or "IT Security and IT Law in the Digital Economy". Our students can further their broad cross-sectional knowledge in optional subjects. Experts from industry provide them with the necessary know-how to successfully support their company in digital change processes – even during the practical phases of the course with the corporate partner.
