During their career-integrated business administration course, our students develop into experienced professionals able to pursue careers in the energy and utilities industry, in local, district and state administrations, in bodies governed by public law (e.g. chambers of commerce) or business development agencies. The ideal combination of theoretical and practical phases enables them to develop holistic solutions, increase the efficiency of public services and modernise the public sector.
Combining the fundamentals of business administration with individual specialist knowledge
In preparation for these varied tasks, our students acquire a broad knowledge of general and public business administration, such as management accounting, marketing, human resources, economics and public law. With a focus on the utilities industry, administration and business development, they further their specialist knowledge and emerge thoroughly prepared for work in the relevant public sector.
A special advantage of the DHBW Mannheim is that we are not only the sole DHBW location to offer this course of study, but also the only career-integrated course in Germany that qualifies students to work as business developers.
